What LectureQuiz AI does

LectureQuiz AI is a browser extension from [DEVELOPER OR BUSINESS NAME]. It helps students stay focused by listening to a lecture tab after the user starts a session, sending temporary audio segments to a secure backend, transcribing them using AI, and creating live quiz questions.

Active-tab audio

Audio capture starts only after you manually begin a lecture session and grant the required browser permission. Capture is intended to be limited to the active browser tab selected for the session. Audio capture stops when you end the session, close the session, revoke permission, or when the browser stops the capture.

Temporary audio segments may be transmitted to our backend for transcription and question generation. Do not use LectureQuiz AI where recording or processing lecture content is prohibited.

Information handled

Depending on the final implementation, LectureQuiz AI may process AI-generated transcripts, generated quiz questions, answers, scores, focus progress, usage-limit information, anonymous installation identifiers, tab titles or metadata when needed to run the session, support messages, device/browser information, diagnostics, and basic security logs.

We do not claim that data is never stored. Retention depends on the feature, security needs, service reliability, and legal obligations. Temporary audio should be retained only as long as reasonably needed for processing unless a specific feature requires otherwise.

Usage limits and rewarded unlocks

LectureQuiz AI may use usage-limit information to track included AI lecture minutes and prevent abuse. Optional rewarded advertisements may later allow additional minutes. Reward completion must be verified by the backend; the browser page cannot grant itself minutes. We do not add Google AdSense to the Chrome extension itself.

Service providers

We may use service providers for hosting, security, analytics, transcription, AI processing, storage, support, and infrastructure. These may include OpenAI and [HOSTING PROVIDER]. Providers may process information in [COUNTRY OR JURISDICTION] or other countries where they operate.

User controls, deletion, security and children

You can start or stop sessions, revoke browser permissions, uninstall the extension, and contact us to request deletion or access where applicable. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. LectureQuiz AI is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in their country.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure

LectureQuiz AI’s use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Chrome APIs is used only to provide and improve user-facing LectureQuiz AI features, security, and support, and is not sold or used for unrelated advertising.

We may update this policy as LectureQuiz AI changes. We will post the new version here and update the effective date.
