Information we handle

Depending on how you use GoalCubby, we may handle:

• Information you provide, such as your email address, account profile, goals, pet names, task details, feedback, and support messages.
• Device and usage information, such as device type, operating system, app version, language, feature interactions, diagnostics, and crash logs.
• Purchase information supplied by Apple or Google, such as subscription status and transaction identifiers. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
• Permissions you choose to grant, such as notifications. You can change permissions in your device settings.

How we use information

We use information to operate and improve GoalCubby, sync your progress, manage accounts and purchases, respond to support, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, secure the app, and comply with legal obligations.

Where required, our legal basis is performing our contract with you, your consent, compliance with law, or our legitimate interest in safely providing and improving GoalCubby. You may withdraw consent at any time.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share only what is reasonably necessary with trusted providers that support hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, email, or app infrastructure; when required by law or needed to protect safety and rights; during a business transfer; or when you direct us to share it.

Our providers must handle information for the agreed purpose and protect it appropriately. We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.

Storage and retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide GoalCubby, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Retention depends on the type, sensitivity, and purpose of the information.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Removing the app may not delete data stored outside your device; contact us if you want your account and associated data deleted.

Keeping data secure

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These may include encryption in transit, access controls, data minimisation, and provider review. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or receive a portable copy of your information. You may withdraw consent, appeal a decision, or complain to your local privacy regulator.

You can manage notifications and permissions in your device settings and subscriptions through the relevant app store. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for using a privacy right.

Children’s privacy

GoalCubby is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in their country, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child provided information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

International transfers

We and our providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, and take steps to keep information protected in line with this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when GoalCubby or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
